Restaurant and Guesthouse Na Gruntu is located in the small village of Lipná in the Cheb region, set amid the peaceful countryside of western Bohemia. It is a family-run establishment with a clear philosophy: to cook honest food from ingredients with a known origin, and to offer guests a place where they can truly escape the pace of everyday life.
The venue comprises a restaurant with a capacity of approximately 100 guests and a separate salon suitable for smaller private events. The guesthouse features 7 rooms accommodating up to 22 guests, with rooms decorated with original illustrations by a local artist. Guests may also pitch their own tents in a field directly adjacent to the restaurant.
A defining feature of Na Gruntu is its own farm, Kořeny, situated right next to the restaurant, supplying the kitchen with fresh vegetables and other produce. Head chef Ondřej Kurak focuses on traditional Bohemian and Old Cheb cuisine – the kitchen bakes its own bread, prepares homemade sausages and slow-cooked meats. The restaurant has been featured in media including Forbes Life, Hospodářské noviny and iDnes, and the head chef has been recognised among the rising stars of Czech gastronomy by the MAKRO project.
The venue is a sought-after destination for weddings, family celebrations and smaller corporate events in a natural setting. Private event capacity reaches up to 100 guests, with a minimum of 30 persons. Indoor spaces can be combined with outdoor areas, and all catering is provided by the in-house kitchen – from hot and cold buffets and barbecues to desserts and wedding cakes. Every event is arranged individually according to the client's wishes.
Na Gruntu offers an authentic choice for those seeking a rural atmosphere, a gastronomic experience with a story, and comprehensive event facilities in the Cheb region.
