Stará radnice Ostrov

The Old Town Hall is located in the historic centre of Ostrov, on Staré náměstí Square. Originally built in the Gothic style, the building was reconstructed in the Renaissance style after a fire in 1567 and later modified with Classicist and Gothic Revival elements.

The ground floor houses the former Councillors’ Chamber, now used as the town’s ceremonial hall, with a preserved fragment of Renaissance wall painting. Other historic areas, including the attic, can be used for exhibitions, lectures, chamber concerts, workshops and social gatherings.

Today, the Old Town Hall serves as a cultural and community centre. Its programme also includes exhibitions by regional artists, thematic displays and craft workshops.
