Plavírna is an industrial complex dating back to 1892, located in the village of Otovice near the spa town of Karlovy Vary. Originally used for kaolin processing, it was closely tied to the mineral wealth of the region. Today, it is a renovated space and a unique venue for weddings, events, cultural gatherings, and business.
The former factory offers various types of spaces with a capacity of up to 250 people and accommodation for up to 50 guests. On the ground floor, there are facilities connected to the adjacent wedding garden, spacious restrooms, a changing area, and an accessible toilet.
The next floor features a gem of industrial architecture — a large airy hall of 400 m² with an 8.5-meter ceiling and mezzanine. With stunning 6.5-meter-high windows, it can host up to 200 people.
The top floor houses a smaller hall, ideal for wedding ceremonies, conferences, training sessions, and team-building events. This 160 m² room with original massive wooden beams accommodates up to 100 seated guests.
The venue includes audiovisual equipment, blackout curtains, and furniture tailored to the event type. A professional kitchen and catering services are available upon request.
Also available is a Gentlemen’s Club — a unique space (not only) for men, featuring Chesterfield-style leather furniture. Here, guests can smoke cigars, sip whiskey, and play billiards. It’s perfect for bachelor parties and other celebrations, with a distinctly masculine atmosphere: billiards, wine cellar, cigar humidor, library, and a globe-shaped minibar.
