The Sparkasse Palace is a significant architectural landmark in Karlovy Vary. This unique building was constructed in 1906 based on a design by architect Otto Stainl as the seat of the former Municipal Savings Bank. Today, after a sensitive and complete renovation, the Sparkasse Palace opens its doors to the public as an exclusive venue for various events with a capacity of up to 550 people.
Since 2024, the palace has been available for hosting conferences, social, corporate, cultural, and private events. It offers a prestigious setting with a unique genius loci. The building won 1st place in the “Karlovy Vary Region Buildings 2021” competition and received awards from the mayor and the leadership of the Statutory City of Karlovy Vary. In 2024 and 2025, it hosted the photography exhibition Stars by Tono Stano. Each year, the palace serves as a representative venue for festival partner presentations during the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF).
THE ATRIUM The atrium is the centerpiece of the entire palace. The space opens up to the third floor with a view of the ceiling adorned with stained glass. The interior is rich in artistic and craft elements that have been carefully restored to their original beauty, giving the space a unique character and elegance. Generous glazing and high ceilings provide ample natural light, making the hall feel airy and festive. The flexible layout allows for various types of events with a capacity of up to 167 people.
THE GALLERY Located on the third floor, the gallery features ornate railings and overlooks the atrium. From here, guests can access individual salons arranged around its perimeter. These rooms are ideal for smaller meetings or VIP zones during larger events. The gallery offers versatile uses—from catering and guest seating to elegant spaces for accompanying exhibitions or quiet networking.
KNOLL SALON This richly decorated historic interior is located on the second floor of the palace. It once served as the office of the Municipal Savings Bank director. Accessible from an open gallery, it spans two floors and features a vaulted ceiling richly inlaid with wood. The windows offer views of Theatre Square, Jánský Bridge, and Vřídelní Street. Today, this noble room serves as a tasteful historic café—an ideal place to relax during a busy day. The café combines historic charm with modern comfort, making it a perfect spot for meetings, conversations, or pleasant moments.
