The Municipal Cultural House Sokolov (MDK Sokolov) is a multifunctional building located in Sokolov in the Karlovy Vary region. It offers spaces for various events – balls, corporate parties, business meetings, workshops, concerts, performances, fairs, and rehearsal rooms for bands and dance groups.
Located in the city center, it has become an important center of social, political, and cultural life. The standalone building has two underground and four above-ground floors. The main section, which houses the large hall, is 44 meters wide and 22 meters deep, with the roof reaching a height of 26 meters. The U-shaped main section connects in the northern part to two wings measuring 9.5 × 20.5 meters, which contain smaller halls and rooms. The entrance to the building features an external right-angled staircase accessible from three sides.
