In Ostrov you will find plenty of space for your ideas, meetings and other entertainment you plan. For example, the House of Culture Ostrov, the Old Town Hall and the entire monastery complex can be used to hold business meetings, workshops, performances, concerts and exhibitions.
At the House of Culture Ostrov it is possible to organise balls and gala evenings; there is also a recording studio, rehearsal rooms and a shared photo studio. On the ground floor, behind the entrance hall, there is a theatre hall which also serves as a permanent cinema. From the entrance hall two staircases lead to the first floor, where there is a foyer with a loggia; on both sides there are the small and the large hall. In front of the House of Culture is the large Mírové Square, which can be used for your events and activities with the permission of the municipal office. The House of Culture offers assistance in organising events, providing necessary contacts and lending equipment and instruments.
In the entrance area of the Old Town Hall there is the original Council Hall, today the ceremonial hall of the town of Ostrov. It boasts a preserved fragment of the original Renaissance painting. A built‑in Classicist staircase leads to the attic of the Old Town Hall and there is also a very pleasant exhibition space. The southern gable of the attic has in the stone masonry a preserved part of the original Gothic‑Renaissance construction. On the upper floors of the town hall there are further exhibition spaces available. Popular places for wedding ceremonies are the premises in the Monastery complex - the Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary or the Einsiedeln Chapel.
