A town full of parks, beautiful architecture surrounded by wooded hills with many lookout places. Its developed spa infrastructure makes it a suitable medium-size MICE events destination.

• Established: the first spa season was opened in 1808 and the place was named Mariánské Lázně, or "Marienbad". It was declared a public spa in 1818 and in 1865 it was declared a town
• Altitude: 630m above sea level
• Climate: sub-mountainous
• Natural rarity: a high number of curative springs, with different composition, all located on a small territory
• Natural points of interest: beautiful nature of the Slavkov Forest natural reserve with many tourist, bicycle and cross-country skiing trails
• Monuments of architecture: the town spa centre was declared a protected monument zone; and the Orthodox St. Vladimir Church, Anglican Church, Roman Catholic Church of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary, the Cross Spring Pavilion, Ferdinand's Spring Colonnade, the Social House Casino, the Chopin House etc. are among the monuments.
