Water sports in the Region of Karlovy Vary

The most attractive and visited river for the canoers in the region is the Ohře. It is the second best flowing river in Bohemia, with a total of 242 km navigable. The canoers can use a number of camps, rental shops and other services along its course. The river passes a number of monuments and points of interest.

The Ohře canoe trail

"The Ohře canoe trail" has been built on the Ohře River, with 69 information boards along the river informing about the location the canoeists are at the moment, points of interests in the vicinity, river kilometre, options for accommodation, and weirs or other obstacles. Each of the boards also explains some words from the canoeing vocabulary.

Other water sports

• It is possible to arrange a fishing permit for the regional dams and ponds.
• In summer, it is also possible to swim in the natural and manmade swimming pools; there are a number of attractions available as well.
• Diving lovers can use a rental shop offering the necessary equipment.
